Meet Jac & Jill
Poirier's Pastries is a small batch bakery co-owned by sisters who believe in bringing art and baking together to celebrate life’s special occasions. Our handcrafted cakes and desserts are always baked fresh using the absolute best ingredients.
Jacquie who is a Baking & Pastry Arts graduate, studied at George Brown College and Centennial College where she graduated with honours. She's had the opportunity to work at two of Toronto's top bakeries where she became inspired to run her own bakery. Now her and her sister, Jillian, are operating their own small business handcrafting desserts they're passionate about, from buttercream cakes to nostalgic desserts.
Jillian is an interdisciplinary artist, with a degree in Fine Arts from NSCAD University. She has worked in many mediums including sculpture, print, textile, and ultimately finding her passion in ceramics and dessert design. She finds many similarities between the two seemingly different mediums and loves exploring the relationship between food and art.
